Goodwood Revival here we come....

August 21, 2014 Richard Parson

We love everything about the Goodwood Revival.

For anyone not familiar with this three day festival, it's been held each September at the Goodwood Circuit since 1998. It's for the types of road racing cars and motorcycles that would have competed during the circuit's original period 1948–1966. It's one of the world's most popular motor race meetings and the only UK event which recreates the golden era of motor sport from the 1950s and 1960s.

Most people dress in period clothes and every year loads of Fieldstaffs customers head off to  join in the fun, kitted out by us.

If you haven't got everything you need for the event yet we can help. For the gentlemen we've got a great selection of jackets, cravats, bowties, plus some sock suspenders, silver-plated cigarette cases and loads more goodies. For the ladies we've got dresses, skirts, handbags, gloves, scarves, hats, brooches and a whole lot more. We're packed with stuff for the vintage lifestyle, so get kitted out and have a great time.

This years dates are the 12th to the 14th September. If you go wearing Fieldstaffs clothes send us your photos and we'll feature them here.

Today marks 47 years since the decimalisation! It was the biggest change in the British monetary system in over 1000 years. We have plenty of the old coins- great collectors pieces or souvenirs of a day out!

We love our local history here at Fieldstaff Antiques which is why we couldn’t resist this big batch of Rainham Pottery! Originally called Roeginga Pottery, thought to be a variation of the Anglo-Saxon word for Rainham, Rainham pottery was running from 1936 to 1975. The firm even patented their own specific shade of “Rainham Blue” which appeared on a lot of their, primarily domestic, pieces. First up we have this delightful 1960s tea set, and two dishes. Message us for more information/ prices.
